Hi, has anyone converted a D90 so that they can sleep in it comfortably?

Few years back at an event (L2B I think) I saw a guy use a camp cot down the passenger side of his SWB series 3. I suspect the sticking point would be if the passenger seat would fold low enough to allow the leg of the cot to pass over it? On an extended roof rack might be a possibility. Tried it out inside and gave up. |

I used to work with a lass who had made a folding bed type arrangement in her 90 ht van.
She had made a panel that fitted between the capping and the roof that was hinged so it dropped down flat, and then had a second section that somehow fitted over the bulkhead that separates the load space and the front seats- this may have been hinged, to the first section as well i can't remember. Was just about the right size to fit a thermarest on- seemed to be pretty simple amd effective, but she wasn't the tallest to be fair... Chris |

My Disco 3 was perfect for sleeping in, fold all the seats flat and throw in a mattress and Bob's your Mothers Brother.

Hi, I'm liking the setup that you've got here, but isiti hinged over the bulkhead and then does it just hook over the grab rail, but I really think this is what I'm after. Many thanks Johnp1887

I created this to use alongside the cabinets I had made. I have a HM roof tent but decided i would get pretty fed up keep having to put it all up and down if i was just staying somewhere overnight. The bed is not wide and it helps that i am only 5' 7". However I have to admit i have never slept on it in anger. There are curtains on all the windws for privacy. It is the Goodwood Revival next w/e and i usually take the complete roof tent arrangement but am tempted to try this out this time. It is only good if flying solo. My brother and dad are in another tent so we will see. The channels in the top of the cabinet are for runners on which the fridge can slide. Not a perfect design either but just works.
