Some guy built it tbh. I was more into the comp buggies than 'normal' Land Rovers and only had it as a tow motor.
I now only realise how cool it actually was...I sold it through LRO mag, a guy rang up and flew from Belgium to buy it!!

Original 110's (pre Defenders) are definitely cool Smile
(and 90's) Thumbs Up

I think below picture gives all the substance needed for agreeing with your statement there. Thumbs Up

I prefer that to any Spectre copy.
In fact, it's the first Camel-a-like I've seen on a post 300tdi defender!

After a few months of saving I could finally order my brand new, high spec roof rack from Brownchurch. They already had a 110 HD rack with a jerry can mount built which cut the production time down by a fortnight! I just needed them to powder coat it and the various accessories ordered alongside it. Last Friday I arrived at my grans house to find this in the drive Cool

Sadly I couldn't fit it alone and had to wait till my father could help me fit it the following day. We could fit the rack and accessories but ran out of time to fit the support bars.

The spot lights are yet to be wired up as I can't decide where to put the switches. I bought a RDX switch pod which goes between the heater controls and door but it arrived without pre cut switch holes, despite implying it would have them. I would never be able to cut an accurate hole in it for the switch so it's back to the drawing board. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Looks a beast of a roof rack, strong and you should not have any problems with it Thumbs Up Is the V8 mpg going to cope with it ? 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

I bought a new Brownchurch rack to fit my Stage 1 about 17 years ago. That could easily see single figures MPG on a cold morning but I don't think the rack made any significant difference. Darren

With these rising fuel prices it's going to cost me a lot either way, might as well enjoy it. I've gone from spending £70 a fortnight to £90 on petrol just from increased mileage Neutral 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Yes you might be spending more on petrol, but the sound of the V8 more than makes up for it Very Happy Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.
