Td5 Exhaust Sound :)
Got a de-cat and straight through pipe with a Twisted re-map aswell.
Few other performance mods as well that don't really affect the sound
but just wanted to see what you think if you're maybe considering something similar.

There's only one thing that sounds nicer than a tuned td5 with a proper exhaust....a v8. So 2nd is good Cool

I just put a de-cat pipe and middle box delete pipe on as well, no remap though, maybe in the future, but the sound is amazing, I can hear the turbo spinning up nicely if I leave the passenger window half open but when all windows closed and I boot it the low grumble sound coming from underneath is awesome, I love it Thumbs Up
How much is a twisted remap?, if you don't mind me asking Whistle Optimists say the glass is half full..

The remap was around 400 and the exhaust system 600. I fitted it myself, to be honest i think they are pretty over priced but you do get quality and great service from them. I've now found the company that do the remaps for Twisted. They're called basremaps you can find them at www.bellautoservices.co.uk and are based in York which is alot more convenient for me. 2003 Defender TD5 90

thanks for that texet7, I think Bellautoservices are site sponsors aren't they? or are they on LRO site? I've read about them quite a bit on various sites, good reputation if I recall Thumbs Up Optimists say the glass is half full..

Is that a full system? My next mod but considered the cheap option of just a centre section delete

I looked at the full system option but in the end I went for a decat pipe and centre box delete pipe, both from Paddock and they seem really good quality. The TD5 seems more urgent and sounds great! I was slightly concerned as to the MOT implications, but it has just sailed through today with no advisories whatsoever!

Seems people spending a lot of money when surely just removing large muffler will do the same job. My Fender is Australian spec. so doesn't have a cat. converter anyway. Nothing suggests poor workmanship like wrinkles in the duct tape.
