It's the MAF.

Just unplugged it again for the first time since swapping injector harness, cleaning red plug, fuel filter etc after doing some further research online about non genuine MAF's.

It's got a brand new HAAS unit from Euro Car Parts fitted, but just ordered the DELPHI/VDO type (which I believe to be genuine) as a replacement as the HAAS unit obviously doesn't work. The VDO should be here tomorrow and I'll report back.

Cheers,

Euro's sent out a DELPHI MAF, rather than the VDO one and it's crap. Again, its far better with it unplugged.

Is there really no other alternative to a genuine Land Rover MAF? That's two brands that fail to work!

ETA: Ordered a Siemens/VDO from Land Rover Trade parts. Better luck with this hopefully.

Lots of places sell oem vdo mafs at a lot cheaper prices than Landrover dealers. I've just had one arrive today from adventure 4x4 Ray

What would be interesting is to see a 'live' view of the data/output of each MAF just to see how far off the mark they are. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I said this on a thread the other day, having just replaced mine it seemed to take a few runs for it to feel better, as though the ecu was learning or getting used to the new values. I don't know if this is actually happening but that's what it feels like. Ray

I would say you need to get it checked on a code reader with someone who knows how to read the information correctly before you spend more money on parts.
