United Kingdom 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black
"Check ambient air sensor for damage"
As per task 18 on the 2.2 Maintenance Sheet.

Does anyone know where it is and what to look for? Embarassed
It's the only item on the service sheet that I'm struggling with.

Cheers

The mass-flow-sensor, located at intaky manifold is combined with a temperature-element, therefore MAF/IAT-Sensor.

2?
Theoretically there could be 2 sensors:

One before intercooler - "true" ambient temperature? (and possibly before turbo too)

Second one after the intercooler - normally runs 20 to 30*C higher than the 1'st gauge.

These 2 readings show on the BAS RRC app on your iOS/Android via BT from the OBD2 port.
