So its been a year now since I took delivery of the Red Dwarf

She has had quite a few parts replaced under warranty all of which were never questioned by LR. Every time she went in for warranty work LR supplied a FFRR or D3. The issues its had basically drive train have all gone away........ said it now haven't I its had so many rear diffs I have lost count about 4 or 5

It looks like the squealing exhaust is sorted now. I know that I fixed it rather than LR this was my choice as I could not be assed to call LRA and I wanted to see what was actually going on.

Anyway touch wood it looks like LR have sorted the issues the earlier defenders had. If only we were rewarded for our loyalty

One of my dealers (the one i ended up buying from) only has freelanders and volvos - so never any exciting loan cars

Andrew, isn't The Red Dward a bit like triggers broom, 4 new handles and 3 new heads, it's a one year old motor with all new parts!

In theory every time it gets a warranty repair it is reborn and therefore has a never ending warranty

may get my 07 back friday

its had a mad dealer rebuild one of the very first 07 models most of the norm and not the norm replaced

its now been gone over six weeks now

would have had it back last week but the dealer dropped the bonnet


it may well be well and truly sorted now i pray

you beat me its been off the road 4 month only out of a year
