Preparing for my first service
So I'm I'm in the process of rounding up all the bits for my first home service. Going for OEM filters etc. and just deciding on oils and greases... and herein lies my most confuddling problem...

Popular opinion seems to be One Shot grease but I can only find it in funny little sachets... doesn't this stuff come in standard 400g cartridges for a standard grease gun?

If I buy a sachet how the devil do you get it out of the sachet and through the nipple without a grease gun?

And what's the consensus on engine oil brand for '04 Td5?

Just going to follow the standard servicing procedure from our friend Haynes, any pitfalls I should look out for?

Many thanks,.

The tip of the sachet with the one shot fits in the filler hole just fine. To fill turn the wheel to one side to allow it to flow easily. TD5 manual recommends full synthetic ACEA A1 & B1 5W30. Remember to change the centrifugal "spinner" and be gentle with the 10mm bolts holding it. Might have to whack them gently with a impact driver to loosen them. They can snap off if they have not been properly used regularly. Many owners don't change them and the bolts can sieze. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
