What do people do about LED indicators?

I can't afford to lose trailer light indicator or any faffing around if I attach a trailer.
Do the aftermarket relays handle it well? Cheers, David

Yes, they are adjustable.
Only issue you'd have is with LED lit trailers.
If that was the case you'd need resistors the trailer OR a buzzer instead.
My trailer is incandescent lit so keep the light with my RDX kit.

I may go LED on my trailer one day but that would be an annoyance.
It'd work, no problem but the legality of light or buzzer would not be there, which is very annoying!

Yeah that seems to be my understanding.. However RDX advertise a relay which can supposedly deal with trailers and also a mixture of LED/bulb lights on the car.

Very tempting.

It's included in this kit which seems good value:

That is good value, I spent a lot more than that for the same set.
Don't get my wrong physically the lighting on vehicle abd trailer will work perfectly regardless of LED's or incandescent standard bulbs.
The relay also allows you to adjust the dash trailer light too.

The one and only issue is if you have an LED lit trailer the dash trailer light then won't work.
The trailer lights will fine but with no indicator warning buzzer or dash trailer light on when towing is illegal.

It's not an issue to me as my trailer is incandescent lit as standard.

There's no real workaround to keep the dash light around this on if yiu had an LED lit trailer other than resistors on the trailer indicators or a buzzer fitted in vehicle instead.

Overall, an excellent solution. Thumbs Up

They are slightly different in reflector design and light pattern, however, you'd barely notice.
