2.2 puma clutch replacement cost.

Can anyone tell me a ball park figure for having a new clutch supplied and fitted at an independent? Also, is there anything else worth doing at the same time that this is being done?

I'm in NZ so keep in mind while some things are cheap over here, LR parts and mechanics aren't.

I had issues with my slave cylinder with a 2.4 around the 60,000Mi, upon opening it up the mechanic (independent) showed me the play and wear in the clutch, there was not much past another 10,000 in it, so it and the bearing were replaced at the same time.

I figure 2.2 should be the same (?)

So, depending on your age you might want to replace the slave cylinder while you're in there. By all accounts the ol' 'and then my clutch pedal just stayed on the floor!' is a common occurrence.

I opted for the 'more' OEM parts (unsure if they are actual LR), but they did cost more, total incl. work was around £600.

I justify the cost by doing most of my other repairs myself, it's when things get heavy, awkward and unknown that I opt in to the shop. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

I should verify the link between gearbox and transfertbox.
If not OK seems the right moment to correct it.
Phil current : defender 110 sw 2.2 puma 2012 and 230.000km today and
