A real classic,...did it come off the line as a V8, or is it a later conversion?

I'm so tempted too N16kct - I'm from Cheshire and born in 1966 and looking for a Series 2A and drool when I hear a V8
![]() This V8 was a conversion Pickles according to PCA42 above - V8s weren't fitted until Series 3s AFAIK I'm working on SWMBO to release the funds but she wants a green one ![]() Still hoping for a S2 one day! |

Thanks for the comments chaps!
Yes, it's a conversion, done a long time ago, probably in the 80s. However, it looks like it should be there, it's like a Stage 1 V8 Series IIA haha. It reminds me of the Range Rover engine test bed 88" Land Rover themselves built... ![]() Click image to enlarge http://www.dunsfoldcollection.co.uk/collec...ex-buick#v I might have to put a little video together so you can hear it ![]() Oh and MuddyWheels... It's an original Cheshire registration!! ![]() 2010 Discovery 4 GS TDV6 1972 Series III 88" 2.25P |

Funny enough I've just been looking at the Dunsfold V8
![]() Still trying to talk swmbo into blue instead of green ![]() This would be great fun and with disco sport daily runner the mpg isn't an issue as I'd only be using it locally ![]() Still hoping for a S2 one day! |

Seriously ![]() ![]() "Hi Love, I found a rare Land Rover, it's reg is something like HUE - I think it would be great" Other half "no, it's the wrong colour" If I may be so bold - f*** the colour. Right year, right engine, solid tidy lovely looking truck around the corner for sensible money. Buy it ![]() |

Oh. My. Word... ![]() ![]() ![]() What a great video and a beauty of a Series, I absolutely love it, very nearly enough to shed some pounds for it... ![]() Only thing is: it definitely is NOT Green... ![]() I am with Muddy's missus on that one, but I am saying nothing about that registration!?!... ![]() Rog... ![]() The GREEN One...
