2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

tdci fuel filter types

just a quickie regarding the (wij500040) 5 micron fuel filter on the 2.4 and 2.2.

Doing some homework I learned ford fitted the 5 micron on the di engines, and a finer 2 micron to the tdci as the fuel system runs at a higher pressure.

Is there any reason why I can't fit the finer 2 micron filter to reduce muck passing into the pump and injectors? its a tiny bit longer than the land rover one but that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things
