The oztent ones look the same as the rhino rack ones. If so they are very comfy and after a set myself although other lr items take the funds

Well Cupboard, I had not come across a camping chair before with a higher load rating then the Oztent 150 kg before. At 180 kg or 28 stone that is an impressive load rating. What is also very impressive is that the weight of the chair is only 4.7 kg.

Compared to the Oztent Kakoda chair with a load rating of 150 kg and weighing in at 6kg.

Whenever possible I would recommend that people physically try out items like camp furniture before buying as we all have different body shapes and sizes.

Brendan: I was amazed when I saw it too! A chair for the larger gentleman.

Jimb1978: The support digging in to my thighs was what I didn't like about the Oztent chairs too. It was markedly better on the Oztent chairs compared to most others, apart from the one I bought. The Oztent chairs were built slightly better, but the Quest was built well enough for me (or seems that way!) and doesn't dig in to my thighs so much. Not saying that it will suit everyone better but that how I found it and that's why I went to the shop.

You can definitely try them at Norwich Camping but I appreciate that's no where near Huddersfield. I could certainly put you up if you wanted a shopping trip to Norfolk Laughing might be cheaper just to buy one and send it back if you don't like it.

I have a Oztent King Kokoda Chair. Yes its expensive and yes it takes up a fare bit of room when transporting it, but its the best camping chair I've ever bought. Stuff the carry bag in the head rest pocket and it provides some good head support while swigging down a cool Rekorderlig Cider!

I've just come back from holiday where my chair was used in anger, and I can confirm it was comfy and survived two weeks of my bum and being folded up every day.

However, it is a massive faff to fold up every day and I gave up putting it back in the bag each time. Lunch stops would have been better with a chair but it was too much hassle. There were a wide variety of other chairs there including a couple of Oztents with hard arms, and they were similar.
Having also now had the chance to sit on a Tentco chair I'm in discussions about buying one. The Tentco is a sideways folding canvas "director's" chair, so they probably take up less volume but the side profile is always chair shaped. Completely different bum feel, but IMO superior overall.

Another +1 for the Oztent King Kakoda chair, but they do take up a lot of space.

Two of these with a standard bedsheet over the top with some Velcro straps sewn to it underneath. More comfortable than my bed at home! 2002 110 td5
