2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 SW Indus Silver
Dotz Dakar wheel nut torque
Hi, is anybody able to tell me the right torque setting to mount the Dotz Dakar rims? Currently I have the standard HD Wolfs on with the LR recommended 170Nm. On the internet I've seen numbers between 120Nm up to 170Nm, but I'm not sure who to believe. Very Happy . _____

I would suggest you drop Nakatanenga a quick email. They sell the Dotz Dakar rim and if they can not answer straight away they will be able to ask the manufacturer for you and get the most definitive answer.

Hi Brendan, Nakatanenga was a great tip. They had the TÜV approval linked on their page:
120Nm should be the way to go then. Is this enough? Neutral

Hi Thor, well that is the official figures. However my German is basically non existent.

There appears to be two torque settings one at 120 Nm and one at 135 Nm. What is the difference between the two figures?

The higher figure seems to have part of a Land Rover VIN after it.

Sorry but can not help you further

Hi Brendan,

the first rating is for the Defender (LD) and Range Rover and the second one seems to be for the Discovery (SALLJG). In the meantime I've also received an answer from the manufacturer. They confirmed the 120 Nm of torque to mount the wheels. Anyways thanks for your help Brendan! Thumbs Up . _____
