We recommend 35mm2 COPPER cable for jump leads and battery connections.

We see all sorts of cable and crocodile clips sold. Some of the claims are just Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

So if I wanted to buy a pair of 5m battery jump leads fitted with a 175a anderson connector, along with a pair of short leads also with a connector to wire to the battery - where would I go and how much can I expect to pay?

I've tried the site's sponsors but nothing listed on their web sites and looking at ebay it's difficult to tell genuine connectors from poor imitations.

Hi Tazz, drop me a pm stating exactly what lengths you want, also your post code.

Anderson connector to battery, what crimp terminals you require, standard crimp tube terminal hole for battery clamp is 8mm.

What length cable from Anderson connector to crocodile clip.

Crocodile clips we use are fully insulated and have a connecting braid between them and are rated at 300 amps continuous

Choice of cable is 35mm2 single core at £6/metre/colour. IIRC this is rated at 240 amps continuous

Or 35mm2 twin flex cable. Both cables joined together so form a neater package, basically a tidier way of keeping jump leads. Down side of twin flex is that the continuous current rating is down graded to about 180 amps and cost of twinflex is £14/metre
