Met up with a fellow Def2.net member and went for a evening laning around the lake district as im up this way for a work related course for a week so decided to make most of the light evenings and no wife or kids!
  
Extremely rocky lanes in parts, and my tow bar took a few hard hits! and scraped my diff on a nice large rock too, plus a mark on my front wing and bumper corner lol I was amazed at how good the traction control was in keeping me going while i would have been cross axled without! just put it in 1st low and let the TC drag the 110 over anything!
Definately got the laning bug and Im going to get some QT diff guards and steering/fuel tank guard to slide over these rocks! He's in the middle of converting it, just on with cladding it at the moment having run the wires in for everything. It's huge in the back! Just put my 235/85 mud tyres on it as I've gone 33". It looks so good!
How did you find the lanes? Parkamoor is rough! |

I found the lanes fabulous fun! nice and technical with huge rocks! i love challenges
traction control helped immensely! Am currently in talks with my best mate about a over land trip to morocco/ western sahara desert for september 2017 as Mrs has given me a pass

Spent last night fitting a new steering guard with 2' reciever ready for off roading with the J33P club.
Went to Walters Arena, the best off roading ive ever done and we spent 5 hours on site and hadnt even covered a third of the total available area of 2500 acres! I suffered a bit of damage! dented wing, bazillion of heavy scratches, snapped my rear shock in half and popped a spring out! there were 40 vehicles there 6 of which were LR's and rest Jeep or Jap. We only saw 2 groups all day thats how big the place is! It is totally epic!
I met with a very experienced off roader and he reckons Walters is the No1 off road spot in the UK hands down. Only time I got stuck getting beached on a climb up and over a berm on the road edge! As a result of this day out!
Temp repair of snapped shock with a 90 one today that a mate is letting me have so i can get to work in morning. along with a full clean of the engine and underside plus brakes. It is going to the garage this week for a check over and to fit the silicone boost pipes, full width inter cooler, and straight thru exhaust ive got for it. List is as follows ready for the next Walters day out! Rock sliders QT Diff Guards with rock sliders Fuel Tank Guard Nice tapered winch bumper with a decent winch. Snorkel with extended breathers and relocation of ECU etc. Full external cage and body sliders for rubbing trees.
