[For Sale] Recon TD5 (late 15p) with suspected cracked head

Hi all,

I have my 15p TD5 for sale. You can see pics of the rebuild on here but it was done with genuine landrover parts and following the landrover service manual. All bearings renewed, everything well within spec. All oil seals renewed and the bores deglazed, new piston rings. New clutch, water pump, fuel pressure regulator and alternator. Whole lump with manifolds and turbo.

Unfortunately I believe the head to be cracked. I sent it to an engineering firm to be checked as the rebuild was due to a slow coolant leak. They 'checked' it and said it passed the pressure test. Having spoken to a local specialist and a national specialist I now believe that the head was never pressure tested as they turned it round in less than 2 hours and did not charge near the price they should have. I have also been told by the local company that they have had several heads evade the pressure test from the same engineering firm.

Anyway a recon TD5 short block with no ancillaries from Turners is 2k so I think that £750 ono is reasonable for everything.

I do not have the time to go through sourcing a new head and checking to confirm the old one is cracked so I have purchased a second hand engine.
