New Member - 2015 Defender 90 SW in Corris Grey
My very first Defender2.net post - please be gentle! You seem like a nice bunch Smile

I'm actually on my second Defender. My first, a 2010 110 XS Station Wagon in Santorini Black was stolen off my drive never to be seen again. Only had it from new for about three months and was gutted.

My current one is a 2015 90 XS Station Wagon, which I've had since August. Corris Grey with Santorini Contrast Roof, towing and dual finish wheels.

It's currently a company car, and sits next to a 16MY Evoque on the drive (I'll let you guess who I work for!), and blocks in a Caterham in the garage. Absolutely love it, and I've decided to buy it, but this does mean I have to sell the Caterham.

The two cars are in some ways very similar, and there seems to be a lot of people that own both. I built the Caterham back in 2003, and have had loads of fun it in over the last 12 years, but it's time to let someone else enjoy it now...

Once it's mine, I'm not intending to change much - Other than beefing up the security, I'll probably get the rear windows tinted, might upgrade speakers and add a sub-woofer and change the badging but that's it. Famous last words I suspect!

Anyway, here's a picture I took the week I picked it up:

Thanks. I was gutted. I guess the one good thing is they didn't come into the house for the keys...

Second car I've had nicked. First one I had for less than 12 hours before it disappeared! At least that one was recovered - the joyriders dumped it outside their school the next morning Shocked 2020 110 D200 Base - Pangea with satin paint protection

Just catching up on replies - thanks all!

Rosco - Would like to keep the Caterham. as I built it from the kit after wanting one for years. I just don't use it enough any more (probably less then 500 miles this past year) so it doesn't make sense. Who knows - I might build another one day...

The Evoque is my other company car (I get two) so not mine

jk84 - Thanks. I love the colour combo as well, and the plan was to get my Evoque in the same colour scheme to have a nice matching set, but ended up getting a Firenze Red with black roof instead.

Venomator - I much prefer the look of the 90 to the 110, but it is a lot smaller. I was parked at work a couple of weeks ago next to an Alfa Mito and that was longer! Read your build thread from start to finish - very nice Cool

JOW240725 - LOL - I think you'll be right! We had a 'bring your defender to work' day on the last day of production at all the JLR sites, and we must have had about 50 at my site (Whitley). Reminds me of the Caterham club stand at the kit car show - the cars are all basically the same but not one is identical. Reading through some of the threads on here has given me some ideas - there are some very nice mods available... 2020 110 D200 Base - Pangea with satin paint protection

Fitted my new Defender badge at the back the black pack grille and light surrounds should arrive tomorrow, so will try to get those fitted ASAP.

A sad day though - I think I've sold my Caterham Sad Took it for a drive after I washed it and took photos for the ad. Big mistake!
