Black roof lining
I've been contemplating fitting a black roof lining to my csw for a while now but with have a dog that like to shake muck and mud off occasionally in the back after a walk I'm worried the alcantera will just look a mess within a week. Does anyone know if the genuine black lining is easy to wipe down and clean or should I just give up on the idea?
Cheers

I have the black in mine, and whilst i haven't had to clean any marks off it yet, it shows up each time someone has run their hand across it and brushed the weave/fibres the other way. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone

I have the Black Alacantara, and a big hairy hound, no problem it wipes easily, and has a very high quality Range Rover feel to it. It does make the interior somewhat dark though and I have been toying with the idea of re-trimming with the more standard pale colour. 2015 90 XS SW Bowler

Dark headlining without a roof imho make the inside very dark and gloomy.

I like the lighter ones Smile

Thanks for the replies Thumbs Up I don't mind it being dark inside (in fact I prefer it) I just didn't want the roof ending up brown instead of black Rolling with laughter so it's back on the to do list again Mr. Green Ray

I put a black/very dark grey alcantara roof lining in mine. Bought about 5m off eBay and stuck it on with all the right heat proof glue to the existing roof liner. Cost about £40 for material and similar for spray glue.

Looked great, very classy I thought. I have big dog and often carry much crap in the back. It all wipes off easily enough.

But.... In the summer heat, the heat proof glue failed to meet expectations and it now hangs down in multiple places. It feels like Draculas coffin. I have been told I should have unpeeled the existing grey plastic coating off the roof liner first.

It does make it very dark, but I really like it. I'm torn between attempting a re-cover after removing the plastic below or buying a proper one.

Thanks again chaps Thumbs Up I'll be going for a genuine Landrover roof lining so hopefully sagging won't be a problem.
Heat inside should be ok too as I've sound deadened and closed cell foamed the roof which made a big difference last summer. Ray
