Great sounding Defenders out on the net
In my youtube surfing travels, I've come across a number of good sounding Defender clips over the months, and I thought I'd share some of my favourites. They are all in one place then when I'm feeling down, I can slap the headphones on, crank up the volume and have a listen and cheer myself up.

Anyone come across any others?

First up a South African (I think) v8 110 pickup. I listen to this every time I'm having second thoughts about ditching the v8 idea and going with a diesel. You will need the sound turned up to fully experience this:

On a similar path, some more local lads having fun in the mud:

More muddy fun (fast forward to 0:30 for the noise to start):

Possibly the best sounding v8 of them all, so much relaxed power:

This chap is running a strange exhaust system, he's got a number of video's on his channel. It doesn't sound quite like a Rover v8 to me?

A true Italian 'Tune Up'. Exhaust noise starts at 0:40:

A 'drive by' back in the UK. Wonder what his fuel economy is? Razz

A little more sedate this one. What was 'Land Rovers UK' who now seem to be called 'Arkonik' seem to produce some very clean cars, I guess for export to the US:

Again in blightly, a longer on-board sound clip this time:

The Td5 can sound good too though (although mine doesn't with the Alive stainless exhaust fitted, at least from the inside, which I guess is due to the cats being present):

Wind down the window of a 2.2 and it sounds pretty epic!

Proper intake noise too. Noise should only come out of one end of a car! Exhaust noise is just silly Wink Cheers, David
Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8.

Indeed, our 2.2s at work make a great sucking noise through the intake which sounds nice, oddly the 2.4s don't do it.

If I may offer something a little more historical you may like these videos, the joy of six...

And I thought my 2.2 made such a cool sound because of the aluminium snorkel Shocked . It certainly brings the intake nearer to the driver/passenger´s ear. Makes a lovely sond when accelerating, particularly on part throttle. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,
