Defender stranded waiting for parts
At the risk of skewing the forum by only reporting problems, here's mine.... My 2.2Tdci went into limp mode with associated loss of power on New Year's Day and the AA diagnostics showed code P228C which is apparently fuel pressure related. I took the car straight to the dealers and they have not been very clear on the specific problem, but I believe it's a pressure switch that is part of the fuel pump that has failed. The dealers have told me that the part is out of stock and the earliest they might be able to get one is the 20th of January. Not sure if this is a LR specific part, or generic Ford, but that seems like a long time. I have a small courtesy car and Land Rover have said that if the part is on back order for more than 28 days I'll be eligible for some sort of Land Rover loan car. Just hoping it doesn't get that far, and also starting to wonder how costly a Defender could be after the end of the used car warranty!! Love the Defender, when it works...

Hope it's sorted shortly, they are usually pretty reliable but when something does happen its normally costly.
In five years, I've only had a clutch and EGR issues.
The former being the most costly.

Very much worth it though. Mr. Green
