URGENT Help needed - Pedal Box
Whilst driving yesterday there was a loud bang and the accelerator pedal went floppy. Pulled over and found the return spring had come adrift, I thought it had sheared but the LR Assist chap just pushed it back in with some long nose pliers. Hopefully that was a one-off but as we go on holiday tomorrow I need help.

Could someone check the spring on the accelerator of their Puma Defender and see if it is one spring or 2, there are 2 coils, one either side of the pedal and I assumed they were one continuous piece that had broken where it goes throught the pedal. The recovery guy (non LR) said there were definitely 2 seperate ones. If there are 2 seperate ones the pin in the pedal is very short and liable to come out again. Sad

Thanks again. Andy

I'm up at Langdale shortly !
There is a National Trust camp site there which is very nice !

If you find yourself with a spare hour and / or if you do encounter any problems try Lakeland Land Rover at Torver on the side of Coniston Water.
They will sort out any problems you may have and mayeven give you the peace of mind with throttle pedal ?
