Horrible noise on over-run
On the way back from work my td5 90 has started making a horrible noise when on the over run. Seems a kind of squealing high pitched noise. Definitely linked with rotation. Only happens on overrun. I suspect front prop UJs but is there anything else to check? I'm assuming a DMF wouldn't make such a noise on the way out?

Not the alternator/ air con drive serpentine belt or tensioner? I had a similar noise like this in the past on a Discovery 2 and I think it turned out to be this.

From in the car it sounds like it's emanating from the transmission tunnel area. Doesn't sound like a drive belt, it's more metallic. Cheers for the suggestion!
