So a new week and progress can be made Very Happy

I started off with shimming the swivel housing pins and the torqued them correctly (no pics as you can't really notice anything).

Next up was to fit the tracta seals and retaining brackets:

Then it was onto fitting the hubs with new bearings and spacers (NOT TO SELF CHECK FOR PLAY ONCE AXLE FITTED AND STAKE NUTS) due to excessive movement when on axle stands.

So times up for the answer, if you look carefully you can see I had bolted the brake pipe bracket on backwards Embarassed


However today was a new day and I had some time to play..................... so time for the new colour, I have alluded to what the colours will be and today I have put the first layer down on the bulkhead, a few small runs and a few areas I was hoping I wouldn't need to filler/sand etc will need redoing at some point but the first layer is on and once the weather dries up a little I have multiple parts to start bolting together.

Small up date today as I've been flat out and not had a lot of time,

Today I swapped over the mismatch bolt collection added to move the chassis with new shinny stainless ones, also a new aframe balljoint assembly.

Hmm, are you sure that stainless bolts are correct for those applications? Unless they're properly rated I'd be inclined to stick with 8.8 mild steel ones in 'structural' locations. Darren
