But on the 1st picture looks like the front leg it's in the place with no problem.
That was what I was worried about. |

Albeit on a 110 I have a front runner roof rack and a front hoop, the legs fit to the gutter but the clamps don't fit onto the legs.
My solution was going to be to fabricate some new legs that clamped around the cage as the legs just bolt onto the underside of the rack, however 10 years and 80k plus miles of on and off road with things like a RTT on it, or loaded with other bits the rack has never shifted so I haven't bothered and the front legs remain unclamped. the leg doesn't quite rest on the gutter and is sprained inwards to the point I couldn't get the retaining nut on the bracket. The bulge the grub screw goes through was resting on the roll hoop. ps. sorry the pictures are in reverse order. That was how the site uploaded them 2002 110 td5 |

The other legs on the rackare as per designed. Again several thousand miles with RTT and never a problem on or off road. I'll brave the weather and upload a pic in a mo. |

My concern was that the spreader plates had been cut and therefore not been doing their job. The inside of the gutter had some very big dents in its from the feet of the rack. I thought it best to distribute the weight to the roll hoop.
the previous owner had managed to manipulate the rack in such a way that the feet made contact with the gutter. I could not manage that again..must have been a fluke. 2002 110 td5 Last edited by Jimb1978 on 20th Nov 2015 9:07pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I wish you had a P&P cage and a Front Ranner racks but if that's the situation right there it's more than okay. You can easly design a clip that will secure the front legs in. Do you have a picture of the look of the full car? |

Click image to enlarge I'm pretty sure it is a P&P bar, it was the same situation with the genuine LR bar (also possibly P&P?) and a hanibal rack. The photos are on a 110 DC so it has 2 ladders as rear supports. As a result it means only 2 pairs of feet are secured to the gutter. |
