LED dome light bulb blown a fuse?
I was trying to replace the OE done light bulb with LED, but then all interior light and the radio stop working, I believed a fuse was blown, my question is why this could happen? No key insert , I switch the light in off position, door was open!
Is there a right way to replace LED bulb? Or the LED bulb Wattage too high? How many W should it be?
Thanks Thumbs Up

You may have earthed the back of the board when installing it, that will certainly do it.

It doesn't take much current but if you touch the circuit board to earth it will blow the fuse.
Yes, sit inside with the doors closed and interior light in the off position.

Just put the bulb in now the fuse has blown then replace the fuse and everything should be ok. If the bulb doesn't work take the fuse back out and turn the bulb around then replace fuse. The light only uses a tiny amount of power, a lot less than a regular bulb so that shouldn't be a problem. Ray

Yep, Don't worry, nothing is wrong, It's VERY common, so easy to short out the contacts inside the lamp when replacing the bulbs .. Happens nearly every time if we/I forget to wait for light go off and make sure doors are all closed.

I'm in the habit now of removing fuse first Thumbs Up Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
