I have made the following announcement today via the Convoy for Heroes Facebook page:
Public Announcement- Directors of Convoy for Heroes Ltd In preparation for the 2016 event on 23rd April, we have been discussing the way forward for the Directors of Convoy. Ian Uwins has decided to resign as a Director, and Matt Judson has kindly agreed to step in as his replacement. Denise Deeley and Mark Saddler will remain as directors. We would like to thank Ian for everything he has done for Convoy, and we look forward to seeing him as a participant and volunteer in 2016. As one of the founding Directors, I'm hoping that having the convoy over the same date as our record breaking one in 2011 will bring the same weather as we enjoyed in the first year. Just a heads up for anyone making the trip to Convoy today or tomorrow, give Stratford on Avon a wide berth when travelling to the site. This weekend is Shakespeare's Birthday celebrations and with the hype and it being the 400 year anniversary of his death it will bring in the crowds leaving Stratford very busy with traffic.
Stratford doesn't take a lot to get gridlocked so your best bet is to avoid the place  |
