Interior -we have a problem!!!! The guys are happy that they can get the genuine alcantara to finish as well as leather around the dash vents etc, so I need to re think... 
Need to get my head back on to it and get it sorted, been driving around with no interior for ages now lol. Might go back to black leather dash, door cards, alcantara / leather seats, cubbies, and alcantara dash binnicales. Completely lost!!! Andy

Technically I could not enter as I am in NI!
Anyway the defender is still in pieces. Been flat out with building around the house and general summer holiday baby sitting duties so I have hardly been on to update. I have my twisted suspension, IRB AP brake kit steering setup all ready. Have most of the interior back from Phil and the wildcat auto front cubby but still need to fit it! Looks like the Ls3 install is going to be October now but I have everything else in order now. Must get a few pics up of the interior.

Arrangements made to take the defender over to Wildcat on Wednesday for the LS3, they need it for 6 weeks and I am away to work in Dubai for 3 shortly so made sense to get it underway. Spent the day clearing the second row recaros for them to have some space and putting back a load of nuts and bolts that have been sitting in boxes for too long. Had all the window trims covered in the factory Alston and the DVD plinth trimmed in leather. Holding off on the rest until I get it back as I need to see how the wildcat front console looks. I may make up my own.

Think I would leave the badges off... look a bit halfords special
If anything put TDi on the back...
Doubt badges will be needed when you hear it |

It's the GM 6 speed auto that wildcat use for all the conversions, has the little electronic selector. They will fit the suspension and BBK kit also so all I have to do when I get it back is stick in the door cards etc and enjoy. I would like to add a subtle little badge somewhere but as you say will be an amazing sleeper on the road. Andy

It's going to be amazing!
The HSV vehicles here with LS3 engines had a decent looking badge, but chrome might be a bit bling for the Defender. If I was in your shoes I'd spray one of them black, with grey in the recessed lettering for a mild contrast. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/262102512981?_mwBanner=1 |
