Dinitrol RC800 question
Hello all , I recently bought a litre of Dinitrol RC800 to try on various parts of the 90 that are beginning to show signs of rust. I have followed the instructions and pressure washed it all off, degreased and steam cleaned off to excess and let dry for over 4 days.
Now the question is how long does this stuff take to work and also what sort of finish should it leave ?
On the rear near side mudflap bracket there was no original paint left and a coating of rust so thought that would be a good place to try, well it's taken seven coats to achieve a black finish.
I am wondering is there a diffent solution available that is 'stronger' or am I doing something wrong ?
Cheers Chris.

just this weekend finished a full (my first) Dinitrol job...

recommend watching the Funrover video on the Dinitrol website, explains it all well.

RC800 is a rust treatment and part of the prep, it's not really a 'finish' - you need to go over with it with the cavity wax / underbody wax for a proper finish. Just one or two coats does the business.

The RC900, which is apparently similar to RC800 except in an aerosol, it's designed for cavity areas but leaves a clear shiny hard finish, might be good for short term touching up of rusty bits but ultimately probably needs a top coat.

I use rc900 as a rust converting primer. Then top coat with something else.
