Best way to remove these?

As you can see, the screws are beyond unscrewing so wondering if should drill them out, like rivets?

Grind or drill the heads off (I would grind them, quicker and easier) and then remove the shanks with a pair of mole-grips or the like.

If your going to cut them off and grip them (which you probebly will do) you may as well try with a good fitting screwdriver first.

You may be surprised, mine were very similar when I first got mine but with good pressure on it it may yet wind out.

you could try dremelling a slot for a flat blade screw driver worked for me in the past DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
