No Stop Lights
I have done a search but to no avail ........

Started today, when I brake all my sidelights come on !! If I put on the side lights brake lights are permanently on as well!

Guessing its an earthing issue somewhere, and was looking for pointers as to where to start please

It might be worth unplugging the trailer electrics loom, mine had a weird fault where the drivers side indicator came on permanently due to corrosion in the plug Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

My bet is you have a single filament sidelight bulb instead of a twin stop tail.
Sounds like halfords have been at it

sorted Thumbs Up
It was an open circuit caused by the 2 terminals touching in the o\s stop/tail bulb holder.
Thanks for all the replies, hope it can help someone else out

I'm thinking an open circuit on the earth connection between the rear lights and the chassis.

If you turn on the sidelights and brake while the sidelights are on, do the lights all go out?

EDIT - my post made simultaneously with the one above.

Cheers Blackwolf, I was hoping you or K9 read this last night Thumbs Up It was quite a simple fix for a change Shocked The symptoms where the exact opposite, ie no lights apply brake = all lights on, and when lights, on brake lights permanently illuminated, apply the brake had no effect. I was thinking broken wire/rubbed through
