Main point I was trying to make was that the CE mark does not make them legal to use as a replacement light source in what is a type approved E marked filament light unit.

I use the cheap led "bulbs" off ebay for the front side lights,been ok so far ,not mega bright but that's fine by me,the problem with fitting higher wattage incandescent bulbs is ,as people have found out it melts the lens,not on indicators but certainly on side lights when they're on for long periods. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

I agree with your main point. Merely being CE marked doesn't automatically mean they would be approved for automotive use. Thumbs Up
