Ceramic Clutch
Hello all,

Been doing some emailing today getting quotes on AM, built to order, upgraded clutches. A couple of places have come back recommending 'ceramic' clutches based on my desire to remap the engine at some point in the future. They are apparently better at handling the extra power/torque. Much more reasonably priced than LR's newly uprated 150bhp clutch (even with the excellent price offered by Nakatnenga....sorry Embarassed ) and interestingly made specifically to the year/model of vehicle, not merely 'for a 2.2'.

Quick question before buying one therefore, is has anyone used one? If so, as good as purported as being? Any difference to daily driving?

Ta Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I now run a ceramic clutch in a very remapped TD5 90, it's been fitted way over a year so far, other clutches have lasted a few months max,
It is a little more in or out than a regular one, and if you wanted to be a hooligan at the lights I have no doubt it would grip and pass on the stress to further down the drive train,
I do a little towing either with a garden rubbish trailer or towing the comp truck on a much larger trailer,
Overall I'm happy for sure,
Mine wasn't from anyone on here, but I have no doubts there's are great also
Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Just found a pic of mine before fitting

It also came with a matched cover plate and metal release bearing,

Thanks K9F for the link. Thanks Daisy for the feedback. In both regards I am sold and will be getting at least a paddle clutch, likely (as I will eventually do a remap) a ceramic one.... Monsieur Le Grenadier
