Front Side Lights and Indicator: LED + Clear BUT Not Baubles
Hi All

I had a good trawl of all the usual suppliers but can't seem to find a solution.

I have the Wipac Clear LED set at the moment on my 90 but they're just not doing it for me, I love the LED and the clear lenses but just not the christmas bauble look they have.

For the rear I think I'm just going to have to bight the bullet and buy a set of NAS clear LED's as they have a much more subtle design and the larger size is to my liking. But, I'm stuck with the fronts.

Anyone come up with any solutions?

TIA

Mobile Centre have led position lamps and indicators available in clear which do not have the bauble effect. You also have the option of a combined position lamp and drl. They are 73mm dia and will fit in existing mounting holes but are flat fronted rather than the beehive shape of the originals. Tim is very helpful and will no doubt have something to your liking.

I know what you mean - I'm not keen on the bauble look myself.

I think there's a gap in the market for a original beehive style front and rear LED lights - basically a much brighter version of what we have as standard.

LOL, I do quite like that particular bauble. Mr. Green
The only issue is that I put a Xmas tree up many years ago. When I say "up" I mean "up in the loft" and thats where its stayed ever since! Bah Humbug!

These look good. Screwing from behind though adds an element of PITA to the project though. Especially as I keep chopping and changing the front until I find something I really like Big Cry

As HP says, it seems really odd that no-one has come up with a vanilla looking standard design which would fit well with the clear NAS rears.

Agreed. I like the idea of LED lights but standard looking as I actually prefer the look of the bog standard defender lights..

I spotted these today which look promising but strangely they don't seem to list a matching sidelight.

I have the RDX.
I've got LUX fog and reverse which aren't available now but you can get Wipac.
Pretty much any combo you can think of between RDX and Wipac is compatible.
And between clear and factory colours.
I have RDX lights and RDX relay with colours on the rear and clear on the front.
XS style basically but in LED.

So those of you with the clear RDX on the front. Are they 'less bauble' than the Wipac ones Question

TIA

They look like the Wipac 'baubles' to me?

These are the RDX 73mm ones front and rear...

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by bauble-ish - I can take photos from different angles if that would help?

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green

I've fitted RDX sides and tails to my last two Puma's and unless you look hard they look pretty much like the standard units although a bit more effective at the job they are there to do. I tend to just use and drive the thing rather than fret about it a lot though. Steve.
