Hotel near Solihull for 'The tour'.

Can anyone help?

I have a celebration tour booked in a couple of weeks time to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary (I know, I know, not quite sure how I got away with it myself either). We need to stay in a hotel for a couple of nights somewhere nearby. We would prefer country rather than town and as seen as I will be taking my Land Rover back to its birth place, safe parking.

Does anybody who knows the area have any suggestions? Less than £100 a night preferably, although I realise this might be a tall order for somewhere suitable. I would have suggested camping but that might well have pushed SWMBO over the edge

Hi

I haven't got much experience but have used the st john's hotel in Solihull for business - very close to the factory and lots of parking. Reasonable hotel too:

Trip advisor is your friend as there are plenty of hotels fairly close by. I have used the Crowne Plaza at Birmingham International too.

Good timing! I am looking at coming over in the fall for Landrover Experience and Tour for my 50th birthday. (Wife asked what I wanted for the 50th... dropped that one on her, plus I told I told her she could come).

Other thing I would LOVE to do is get a chance to go green-lancing with someone. I'm going to be staying around Lewes for a week, then up to the factory.

Any advice or direction would be appreciated!

Stayed at the St johns a number of times. No complaints, but nothing 'fancy'. Not been for 2 years. 2011 D4 Nara Bronze

I stayed at the holiday inn at the Airport which is really close to the gate you enter for the Celebration Tour ......

Premier inn nearby or the airport if you can get a cheap deal.
Depends on what is on at the nec as many of the hotels that support it have deals on quiet days.
