puma2.2 diesel filter , some confusion
Hi,
I have read a lot about the way to change the diesel filter on a defender with puma 2.2.
I even do the work on my defender one or 2 years ago.

I remember that I make some faults but luckily, it start ...

So, some questions !
- Did the 2.2 have a primary pump or not.
(have read somewhere that it have and turn only some seconds, I have to say that when I turn the key, I hear a noise which could be from a pump )

If yes, where it is and can we use it to purge the system.

- which connection is the one who is coming from the fuel tank, the male or female

Thanks for your help

England
with any fuel filter change its always best to filter first with clean diesel then fit it

just to keep air to a minimum when first started

Hi,
less confusion ...
I did fil the filter with diesel and it start ...

But I did realise that I have a pump in the fueltank so it could be next time that I have only to change the filter and put contact and the pump will purge the system, we will see
