2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Alaska White
Bonnet inserts
I have just replaced the plastic bonnet inserts in the hinges as the bonnet was making an almighty rattle - but they still aren't tight enough in the hinges to stop the rattling.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm wary of trying to close the hinge up as I reckon the paintwork will crack. The replacement inserts are genuine LR as well!

Years ago on an older 90 I cut some strips of bicycle innertube and placed it in the "hook" part of the bulkhead then put the plastic inserts in and put the bonnet back on. That stopped the rattle on mine and you could hardly see the rubber.

Or you can get small neoprene rubber sheets on eBay, both do the same job.
