Wheel studs question
Questions:

Do you need the longer 60mm wolf wheel studs to have them fitted to the car?

If they ARE then fitted, does that mean if you want to put alloys back on you need to swap out the studs for shorter ones? 2016 D4 HSE

No, and yes Thumbs Up

You don't need longer studs for wolf wheels, for most vehicles it wont make a difference, on earlier vehicles it will leave the last 1-2 threads of the nut un-used which looks like they are loose. as long as they are torqued up correctly and checked regularly they will be fine.

I believe if you do have the 60mm studs you need to swap them out for shorter ones to fit alloys as the wheel nuts are different (I cant say for certain though as I have never fitted alloys to a defender)

Hope that helps somewhat Smile Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

2014 model I have can take both the wolf hd steel rims and the skinny original wheels on the std factory studs. No need for changing the studs.

I've used them, because I wanted to.

Do you need them? No !
