Personally when it comes to Britpart you get what you pay for. If you are after a part say the back brake calliper there is usually 2 or 3 options offered, the cheap britpart part, the oem spec britpart and the LR britpart. All ranging in price from cheap and cheerful to the more expensive OEM parts. So if you buy the cheapest part in the range you cannot expect the quality to be the same as the more expensive OEM and LR ones.

I recently bought the top swivel pin kit as well as the lower pin and bearing. Britpart offered three kits, the cheapest was their own at £19.99, next was the OEM spec kit at £39.00 and lastly the LR kit at £54.00. I went for the OEM spec kit as it contained Timken bearings and Corteco seals as did the LR kit but without the green oval packaging. Again you get what you pay for IMHO. I also ordered new swivel seals and mud shields which arrived in LR packaging and were half the price of my local dealer. There are a lot of items from Britpart that I would not trust fitting and I get those parts from the dealers but would not be surprised if they arrived at LR from the same suppliers as Britpart or Bearmach. I rang a supplier that advertises in the mags all the time. Best not to say the name. I asked about swivels and was given the price of the sh*tpart one, which is really really cheap. When I asked for an OEM one I was told not to bother as they sell hundreds of the cheaper ones each year.

Now guess why?
