As some of you already know my 110 will be going next month.
For those of you that don't know, it is being replaced with a 110 XS USW. So don't panic.
I was down at Mann Automotive in Laurencekirk (Aberdeenshire) getting the womans disco 2 sorted and obviously told them that the defender was going.
They gave me a number and said call this guy he's just up the road and has been know to give good prices, fantastic I thought.
By the time I get home I start thinking the dealer's only gonna give me a max of £14,000 for the defender, what if I can get more. Just think what mods I could do with a spare couple for grand kicking around??????
With this in mind is decided to go online and see what one of those website that would by any car would say. I was quickly redirected to the van outfit and plumbed all the details in the website and got a quick responce saying they will give me £15,895 for the defender!!WOW £££££££  . I'll have some of that.
I then thought surely I can get some money off with out a trade in!
Surely with all this in mind dealer tradins are a waste of space.
Just thought this would be interesting read for those in the same boat as me.
