Simon at X eng did a good quality fuel cut off valve for the defender unfortunately the fuel lines on the Puma are very easily kinked, damaged and you will need to bleed the entire fuel system after it is fitted. Also as there is no lift pump on the Puma if there is a leak in the vacuum feed to the fuel pump you won't be going anywhere. JMTW Thumbs Up

personally I would want bigger bore than 3.5mm as the diesel circulates quite fast on common rail diesel

if the pipes are 8mm ish then I would say you need a valve of 8mm ish

any restriction might cause pump to draw air in and cause starting/running problems

On a 2.4 it's on the engine.
On a 2.2 there's a lift pump too.

Thanks munch I was hoping someone on here would comment if they have fitted one or if not willing to discuss openly they could have pm me! it also states that "Not suitable for vehicles with re-circulating (or leak off) system" does anyone know if this applies to a puma defender!

Not many diesels ( if any ) dont re circulate the diesel nowdays , guessing reason is because of bore size of the valve

the 2.2 with electric pump inside the fuel tank has the cut off valve

the 2.4 without electric fuel pump DOESN'T NEED the fuel cut off valve because if the engine isn't running there isn't fuel demand and when the engine is running YOU NEED the fuel (and suction line has a slight negative pressure). Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

There is a larger version of that valve from Durite:

But still only suitable for up to 3 bar, not sure if that is enough for a modern diesel.
