Insurance renewal with an Alive stage 1 tune
Hi all,
It's insurance renewal time and as I'm thinking about getting a stage 1 Alive tune I thought I would ask what impact it would have on the insurance. While my current insurer will cover me the excess and quote have gone through the roof. Other insurers which are much more competitive eg through the IAM won't cover any mods which increas bhp. I've got the max NCB, loads of security etc Any other recommendations? Cheers 2.2 Tdci 110 XS CSW Corris Grey

I had my D2 TD5 dynachipped my insurance wouldn't cover it but Adrian flux did a great job at only a slight increase for the year. Inc 4x4 response too. Sounded like they knew what they were talking about. COTAG 4x4 Response

I told the NFU of a few mods - tune, different wheels, side steps, interior mods etc, it made about 25 quid difference, certainly not enough to not get it tuned by Alive, you'll soon get that back with the bonus of better mpg Thumbs Up
