Safes perfect Ken.... how do you find them to hold up in the fleet I ve been told they can be heavy on brakes, rotors and tyres, but suppose that comes down to driver habits..

Heavy, slow, expensive on tax, thirsty and eat brakes. Get a GTI instead? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

R32 blows the gti away every time however the perfect balanced car is a BMW123d msport coupe it really takes some beating. The only thing the GTi is good for is lift off oversteer Rolling with laughter

Oh re brakes both of ours have had the brakes upgraded as they are tuition cars prior to chaps going out in the LP560 / F430 Thumbs Up

We did try the BMW's 123,130 and Audi A3 s3 just found them way to small front and back to be a every day car and if the wife got BMW and I ever got caught driving it, it would be like openly admitting to the world my pen is small and I ve excepted it, at this point in time I am still in denial Whistle Whistle Whistle Ken would you recommend the brake upgrade for the road or is it just over kill... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

All wheel drive or rear wheel drive, no front wheel drive

4 doors that are useable and can fit 4 adults in the car

A boot that can fit a suit case in

Five star ANCAP safety rating

No more than one years old

0 to 100kms in under 6.2 seconds

Fun to drive

Automatic

Comfortable

And under $55k Australian Dollars

Any suggestions

Not being a party pooper, but surely if the A3 was too small the Golf will have the same problem as they're both based on the same floor plan (albeit an 'updated' version for the Golf).

I'm guessing your 'fleet' isn't for delivery! One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
+ New Defender 110 First Edition

Just another thought - you say you don't want anything over a year old - is the R32 available that new? I didn't think VW made an R32 with the re-vamp, and recently released the Golf 'R' (2.0ltr turbo??) Mark
