Bilstein B6 question
I've just a bought a 2nd hand set of Bilstein B6's from eBay - looking forward to seeing what they are like. But a couple of questions if I may :

I'm going to fit new bushes and aI presume all the pin bushes on then will be the same size as the standard Defender shocks - so the standard bushes will be a direct fit ?

The rear eye bush - is that something I'll need to buy as a spare from Bilstein ? And if so - can anyone suggest a vendor ?

I fancy tidying them up too - but I'm not sure of what's best given:

1) if I don't like them I'll be taking them off to sell on
2) if I do like them, I'd rather they were already painted rather than take them off again to paint and refit...

I'd also like to go for a colour change to black I think... But to sell them they'd best be original ....

Hmmm..... Decisions, decisions ....

Think the bushes are the same size, although mine were supplies with a bilstein bush when new. I think the rears are pressed in , and i'd presume they would be a genuine part ? Don't paint them before you decide to keep, or how would you prove they are the genuine article ?

They were less than 10% of that figure - so well worth a go.

Thanks Jim - that's sensible. I was just resisting the need to fit it twice !

The eye bush actually seems pretty good - So I'll just replace the pin ones.
