Rear mud flap brackets
Not sure if I am missing something simple here, but how do you remove them ? The coating has come away and I want to strip and paint them.

I see three bolt heads at the rear of the wheel arch which seem to go through to a point in front of the rear cross member - I assume these go into nuts but I'll be jiggered if I can see how to get at them.

Any advice

Cheers
Gavin

Riv nuts on mine(rivnuts are posh blind rivets which are threaded to allow bolts to fit into enclosed spaces like the crossmember...sorry if this is granny and eggs thing) if its a 90!..no nuts just three bolts soak in penetrating oil and remove...carefully! put lots of grease into rivnut before you refit!

Thanks nitram - I should have guessed it would be rivnuts as the void was inaccessible.

Liberally soaked now and I'll give it a bash later.

Cheers

Buy a pair of galvanised rear mud flap brackets and spray them black with Hammerite satin black, never have to worry about flaking paint or rusting again For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
