Fitted new boots
After 67k, the original grabber tr's were past their best. The fears were okay but the fronts were getting a bit dodgy in the wet, had a few moments recently so time for a change. Looking around liked the look of the grabber at2. Looks a bit more aggressive than the tr's and have had good reviews, so took the plunge and had them fitted today.
First impressions are that they are in fact quieter than the others, give a good ride and although not done anything serious off-road yet, think they will cope with anything I throw at them.

Decided to go a bit bigger with 265/75, and together with the spacers that are already fitted, fill the arches much better. Very pleased.

They look the Job! I need to get a new set of wheels & tyres for my 110. What size wheel/spacer are you using?

Had AT2 for many years on different vehicles and have to say they never let me down, had them on a, sorry, Navara pick up which trounced all over a, sorry Defender, with the TRs fitted I started with nothing and still have most of it left!

I found the tr's pretty good but already much prefer the look of these and how they feel.
I am running the standard boost alloy with bulldog 30mm spacers. With the slightly wider tyre I would say they are more or less spot in now. Gonna have to clean it a bit more often though!!

It looks great and fills the arch nicely, nothing worse that a skinny ass wheel under a defender!

well, that depends what you want! If you want traction and not having mud up the sides, there are a lot of things worse than a skinny wheel and tyre. If you want flotation and muddy sides, then you're right, skinny tyres aren't good!

For me I think that tire is not too big that it will cause too much muck up the sides

Prevented mine getting muck over the sides by intially purchasing a set of the Entreq extended brackets and by moving the front mudflaps out by a couple of inches. The latter is an easy modification that can be done in about 15 minutes each side. It wasn't the muck on the sides so much that bothered me but in the gutters of the rear sliding windows, but you won't have that issue anyway with a HT. Mine are now 305s and sit about the same as yours without the spacers. You can see the extended flaps quite clearly......

Good idea moving the mud flaps out a bit. I have been thinking about the mudstuff dirt defenders. As already discussed numerous times, dirt comes up between the mudflap and the wheel arch all down the sides. I don't mind that too much as I think there should be some dirt down the sides, the only thing I don't like is when the window is open, mud get flung up and ends up down your back between the seat and your back!! May have a look at those. Are they a pain to fit when you have checker plate on the sides?
