Engine oil ?
Hi guys

Is it safe to mix castrol magnatec 10w40 diesel oil B3 with castrol magnatec 10w40 diesel oil B4 Smile Graham

Hardly, the OP is talking about a 200Tdi - these are not exactly fussy when it comes to oil. Furthermore he listed two oils of the same grade from the same manufacturer, so they're perfectly compatible. Even mixing grades is fine, you'd just end up with something in between.

Any Tdi is going to be happy with just about any 10W40 or 15W40 whether synthetic, semi, or mineral, and will have no issues with combinations of any of them. Mine gets whatever I can lay my hands on at the time, currently I have found a good source of 10W40 semi-synthetic at the local agricultural suppliers place so it's getting that. Gets changed every 6,000 miles anyway so hardly worth chucking expensive stuff in.

For more modern engines there may be more stringent requirements, but if it's the right grade and meets the spec then chuck it in - it will all mix without any problems.
