Exhaust smell in cabin?
Hi all...

For the past week or so I've been experiencing an exhaust smell in the cabin, about a minute or two after I set off down the road. After another minute or two it dissipates.

Checked to see if I could see anything leaking under the bonnet, like the yellow quick valve thing, but that looks OK.

Thought maybe the rear door has a gap or something and the gas is getting sucked in as I drive, but again don't see anything of this nature either.

Anyone else ever experience this? Any suggestions where I might be able to check further?

Thanks!

Just check down in the passenger footwell on the vertical slope to see if the rubber bung hasn't come out. It can give you a whiff of exhaust gas at start up if the exhaust manifold/downpipe to turbo gaskets are old and leak a little on start up untill they get warm.

Turns out that the back door had shifted slightly, the upper left-hand corner wasn't even touching the seal anymore.

Time for a Mantec wheel carrier I think...
