Svx led help
Hi Guys

Just bought some of the svx rear led's and was after some advice before I install them, my mechanic skills are pretty limited!
Probably a stupid question but where exactly does the relay go? Do I need to remove and replace with the new one or just ad the new one?
Sorry but prefer to ask in case I fu** it up!

Thank you

Pete.

Relay is under the steering wheel, behind the acess flap.
Remove old and fit new.

As Steve has said

Open the flap under the steering column with a coin and then with the ignition on set an indicator going, you'll then be able to feel the flasher relay (top left corner) that you'll be replacing

Depends which model Defender you have, on my Td5 it's behind the clock cluster, 4 screws to get at it then just replace it.

Thanks for your replies!

Just fitted them! Only problem is the indicators flash really quickly, any reason why that is please?
It's a 14 plate if that helps.

Thank you
Pete.

Not sure it's right then, they should have an adjuster knob on them.

You dont need to have a adjustable knob , it just needs to be a electronic flasher unit for leds , which it looks like it is by the picture

the one i have used for years is a three pin with no knob on it with leds

only thing with a 3 pin , the trailer indictor light on the dash wont work

faulty flasher unit or you got it in the wrong hole! , what has the old flasher unit or relay got printed on it

Won't work that's why they've given you a new one! Get back onto Mobilecentre the RDX relays have been proven to work. Do a search under 'RDX relays.' If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Mines got an adjustable knob, in the instructions it said something like make the adjustment around 60 flashes per minute, there's an optimum, then the tow light starts flashing on the dash too. Bolt on bits sell them.
