Email Issues
Computer I HATE them at times.

Having difficulties sending emails! Can receive emails ok. Speed test shows 24 and 5 Mbps download and upload

But get this message

Quote:

A stable connection to the server could not be established.

Have also had a slightly different message as well

Sometimes it will send on second or third attempt. Othertimes not!

Any clues folks?

Barbara is busy doing OFSTED at school next few days.

What mail system are you using Brendan... Question

Have you tried closing it and re-opening the mail system... Question

If all else fails, close down your PC completely and re-boot it... Whistle

Using Airmail, what ever that is.

However not just one computer but two separate computers.

Just to make it worse two different routers possibly two different internet providers.

Edited to add

The three little coloured buttons top left of screen are greyed out and do not work.

The quit Airmail button is greyed out and does not work.

Please remember I am an IT numpty without tech support for a couple of days. A slate and a piece of chalk was more reliable in my school days! Razz

I am not familiar with 'Airmail' tbh... Rolling Eyes

However, I would try re-booting your routers, both, and then giving the mail system another go... Whistle

If all else fails, shut everything down and kickstart it again and if that doesn't work you may need to contact one, or both of your providers as the weather can sometimes affect stability... Shocked

Hi Brendan,

Suspect you have resolved this now, but might be useful for future reference. Sounds like your email application has crashed for some reason if everything is greyed out. If you press the keyboard keys 'command' ('cmd' key to left of space bar), 'option' (same as 'alt' key, next to 'cmd' key) and 'escape' ('esc' key top-left of keyboard) together that should bring up 'Force Quit' window. You can then select the application that has stopped working (it will say 'not responding' next to it in the list) and then press 'Force Quit'. You can also access the Force Quit window by clicking the black apple logo in the top-left of the screen and selecting 'Force Quit' (about half way down the menu that appears). Once you have force quit the application, relaunch it and it should function as normal again.

Application crashes are pretty rare on Mac's, so it does perhaps point to some underlying issue.
