I have a habit of spoiling myself when it comes to my toys.
x-pack was temporarily round the front as i was fitting better storage in my man cave it just happened to sneak into shot. Click image to enlarge I also have this cracker as well. Bought it brand new 12 years ago still only has 30k miles on the clock. Well spotted, mud flaps are on the list.
I've ordered XL mirrors as the motor will do a lot of towing and reversing in tight spots, crystal headlights and uprated bulbs. Tow ball will be swapped out for my ball and pin type. Going for front spots but will wait till Autumn, can't decide if I will stay classic, nice big halogens or go full LED up front with headlights and quite fancy the Lazer front grille option. will beef up the underbody protection once I've rust coated the undersides. Then going to look at storage options for keeping my towing gear and ratchet straps nice and tidy, but might just get a custom canvas bag with dividers so i can just chuck it in and haul it out as required. Not a huge fan of the whole chequer plate thing but will probably swap the stuff already on it for black to hide it a bit. |

So the ordering has begun, stuck on a oil drilling ship off Malaysia for a month so plenty of time to melt the plastic.
Ordered the headlight loom and spotlight loom. Crystal headlights and E-xtreme bulbs, Because i have aircon and don't want an A bar I've knocked up a couple of different bracket mounts to fit a set of Cibie Super Oscars as it would appear that there isn't really an off the shelf option for the aircon equipped Defenders, also with the light guards I can't mount them as per the OE option. Socket to have a charge point in the back using the spare wires behind the speaker trim. That'll do for this month! Now await the questions from SWMBO when the boxes start arriving |
